We’ve all been overwhelmed by the extent of the response to the call for volunteers by the NHS during the Covid-19 crisis. It really makes me proud to see how many people want to help their community. I heard Sadiq Khan, The Mayor of London, saying just that on the radio this morning with London 2012 and Euro 2020 volunteers all turning out in force to get the new Nightingale Hospital up and running so the NHS can move recovering Covid-19 patients out of NHS beds.
There is also another way you can help and earn an income if you have first-aid training or experience (professionally or personally) caring for the elderly or vulnerable.
Hospitals need to find places for the elderly in the community during the corona virus pandemic to free up hospital beds for COVID-19 patients. Often elderly people are well enough to return home but have no one to care for them there. The care they need could be as simple as helping them get out of bed and get washed and dressed; or shopping for food and cooking meals for them.
Here at The Live-in Care Hub we are looking for live-in carers to help the UK during the Corona crisis. Our aim is to recruit 21,000 new carers to help get elderly people out of hospitals and back into their homes.

Elderly people need help now – you can help short-term or longer-term – and we provide rapid training so you could be helping someone within 14 days of applying.
We understand that not everyone is in a financial position to be able to volunteer, especially if essential income has dropped and you need to replace it as soon as possible. So we are not looking for volunteers but fully paid carers with great rates of pay.
