We are a family-run business registered with the Care Quality Commission. Our mission is to provide compassionate, personalised live-in care that empowers individuals to live with dignity and independence.
Our journey began with Melody, a devoted nurse with over 25 years of experience. She witnessed the profound challenges her mother faced while caring for her grandmother, who had dementia. The physical and emotional toll on her mother, coupled with the lack of support and knowledge, deeply moved Melody. Despite her extensive nursing experience, geographical distance made it impossible for her to provide the practical support her mother needed. This heart-wrenching experience ignited a passion in Melody to make a difference in the lives of the elderly and their families.
Determined to honour her grandmother’s memory, Melody partnered with her aunt Joyce, an experienced healthcare assistant. Together, they founded Marula Support Services to offer the compassionate care and support they wished their family had received.
“My mother’s struggle to care for my grandmother without the necessary support was heart-wrenching. It made me realise the profound need for compassionate, knowledgeable care for the elderly. This experience fuelled my passion to create a service that not only supports the elderly but also their families, ensuring they never feel alone in their journey.”
