Our Story: A Personal Mission
Access Care began with a simple yet powerful mission: to make arranging live-in care easier for families. In 1994, our founder, Judie Tighe, saw first-hand the challenges of navigating the care system when her mother struggled to find support for her father. Judie’s passion to simplify the process and ensure families feel supported remains at the heart of everything we do.
Today, Access Care is proudly led by Judie’s daughter, Tiggy Bradshaw, alongside a handpicked team of caring professionals. Like Judie, Tiggy and the team take a personal interest in every family and carer we work with, ensuring that Judie’s vision lives on.

Importantly, we do not employ the carers we introduce, and neither do you—they are self-employed professionals registered with HMRC. Simply put, we bring the right carer to your doorstep. Once they’re in your home, the relationship becomes a private arrangement between you and the carer, with us remaining on hand to provide ongoing support when needed.

While there is no dedicated regulatory body specifically for care introduction agencies, our practices are guided by the highest standards. Experience and attributes required: If you have an excellent command of both spoken and written English, want to work when and where you choose, earn good money, fit your work around your personal life, develop new skills and make a difference to someone’s life everyday then we are the agency for you!
Typical assignment: Care workers are offered bookings for which they can apply. Individual profiles are then offered to our clients for selection. Our bookings range in number of weeks, location and levels of care needed. Each booking is unique as each of our clients are unique.
Training and support given: We fully support our carers and have great relationships with all of them. We are always on the end of a phone to help arrange your bookings. Our carers are ‘self-employed’ so responsible for ensuring their training is refreshed regularly to register with us. We are able to advise on this.
